Would maggots get in my hair??

I was cleaning some trash bags and some trash fell out and i saw maggots.. i got kinda close to see them and bakced away when i saw them on food.. I sprayed them with hair spray, broomed them up then called my neibgnor. My question is... could they have goton in my hair?? My neigbhnor said no but what do you think?
